We order mainly from two BC distributors: Horizon Distributors, who is Western Canada’s largest distributor of organic and natural products in the dry, chill and frozen categories, and an independently owned Canadian distributor of certified organic and fair trade produce from the Lower Mainland. As well, we have started a Local Buying Program to connect our membership with locally available produce and other farm products. To get a better idea of what is available please explore the catalogues by clicking the READ MORE button below.

The Kamloops Organics Buying Club (KOBC) is a group of people living in the BC Interior who are interested in co-operating together to purchase high quality organic foods.  By joining together to make purchases members are able to conveniently make household budgets go farther because of reduced pricing achieved through bulk buying. Another benefit is the ability to source specialty items which may not be otherwise available.

We order once a month from two BC companies (Horizon Distributors and an organic produce wholesaler from the BC Coast), who offer an excellent selection of produce and goods.  In the interests of contributing to food security and local producers, we are exploring options for local buying and hope to add new suppliers from our region as we grow.

Because the intent of the group is to save money for the members and not make a profit, there are many opportunities within the group to volunteer to help KOBC grow.

If you are interested in participating in KOBC, please explore the website, and email any questions you have to kamloopsorganics[at]shaw.ca.
